As an appropriate supplement the latest data from Public Health Scotland states;
‘‘Over the 20-year period from 2005 to 2024…the averaged (mean) daily maximum temperature (by year) has remained relatively stable at approximately 17°C.''
I also find it revealling given the relative (small) size of the UK to other countries that;
'The first country in the world to declare a climate emergency was the United Kingdom, which made the declaration on May 1, 2019. Scotland was the first part of the UK to declare a climate emergency on April 28, 2019.'
Here is my contribution and the points raised here can be included in any debate!-----------Wars and conflicts are created by the RICH/ROYALS/POLITICIANS etc and they get richer, and the people pay with blood and death!? Bombing and shelling must cause damage and change and that includes to the land and climate etc!? So why is there no call to stop bombing etc!?
In my short spell on Old Mother Earth I have seen good Summers and bad Summers. Good Winters and bad Winters! Worked in a very hot part of Australia in 1975 ( PILBARA ) and went back 40 years later---NO CHANGE!? A QUESTION----50 Years ago we were told that parts of London/New York would be under water and that some islands/countries would be flooded!? Land movement may have caused some changes but for the flooding where is the water going to come from? The area covered with ice is miniscule compared to ocean and sea mass so how much higher would the oceans rise? How about cloud seeding and weather manipulation, can that make water or change climate/temps etc!?
